Biography
Dr. Chapman joined Capital Women’s Care in 2021 after completing her residency in Ob/Gyn at University of Maryland Medical Center. She has a calm, non judgemental, and open demeanor, and aims to make her patients feel comfortable and cared for. Her clinical interests include normal and high-risk pregnancies, family planning and contraception, and medical and surgical management of gynecologic conditions including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery. She is pursuing certification in menopausal care through the North American Menopause Society.
Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Dr. Chapman attended Fordham University at Lincoln Center for her undergraduate studies in modern dance and French Literature. She then taught yoga professionally for several years. After an injury prompted her to change career paths, she attended Johns Hopkins Postbaccalaureate program and discovered her passion for ObGyn. Dr. Chapman aims to bring this focus on wellness to her practice as a physician. Dr Chapman lives with her husband and two children in Montgomery County. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family, practicing yoga, swimming, traveling, and taking part in community and cultural events.
