Genetic Testing on Baby

Our offices offer various methods of genetic testing for the baby.  Our most common test is the NIPT (Non Invasive Prenatal Test).  This is also called the cfDNA (cell free DNA) test.  This is a simple blood draw from the mom and it checks the baby’s DNA directly from the mom’s blood.  We test for Trisomy 13, Trisomy 18 and Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome).  This test also can tell the gender of the baby.
